The Air Force jet touched down the Aminu Kano International Airport Kano at about 6:50pm local time into the waiting arms of top government functionaries, traditional rulers, businessmen and others.
The Emir was full of smiles and looking hale and hearty as he waved and acknowledged greetings.
He was in the company of two of his sons, Sanusi Ado Bayero and Aminu Ado Bayero.
It will be recalled that the Emir was flown abroad for medical treatment on January 21st following an attack on his convoy which left his driver and three palace guards dead
